Refund Policy

Overview

At AnimeCarMod, most of our products are handmade, custom-fit, made-to-order, or customized based on the customer’s selected vehicle, product type, theme, layout, or personal request.

Because of the handmade and personalized nature of our products, returns and refunds are handled differently from standard mass-produced items.

Please read this Refund Policy carefully before placing your order.


1. Return Eligibility

We may accept return or refund requests only under the following situations:

  • The item arrives damaged.

  • The item has a confirmed quality issue.

  • The wrong item was sent.

  • Required components are missing.

  • The item is significantly different from the confirmed order details due to our mistake.

To request a return or refund, please contact us within 7 days after delivery.


2. Non-Returnable and Non-Refundable Items

Because many AnimeCarMod products are handmade, custom-fit, or made to order, the following items are generally not eligible for return or refund unless there is a confirmed quality issue:

  • Custom Quarter Window Dioramas

  • Custom Car Dashboard Decor

  • Custom Car Stickers

  • Build Your Own custom orders

  • Custom design deposits after production begins

  • Final payment orders after production begins

  • Made-to-order products

  • Products made according to customer-provided vehicle information

  • Products made according to customer-approved design proposals

  • Accessories, add-ons, or upgrade options purchased with a custom order

  • Gift cards or digital items, if applicable

We do not accept returns or refunds for change of mind, buyer’s remorse, incorrect vehicle information provided by the customer, incorrect side selection, incorrect address, or personal preference differences after production has started.


3. Custom Order Deposit Policy

A custom order deposit allows us to begin the custom design review, planning, communication, material selection, proposal preparation, and quotation process.

After a deposit is submitted, we will usually provide a custom proposal within 1–2 business days.

Before production begins:

  • If the first proposal is not suitable, you may request revisions or another design direction.

  • If, after communication and revisions, the proposal is still far from your original vision, you may request a deposit refund.

After production begins:

  • Once you approve the final proposal and pay the remaining balance, production will begin.

  • After production begins, the deposit becomes non-refundable.

  • Changes of mind after production has started cannot be refunded.


4. Final Payment Policy

For custom orders, the remaining balance must be paid after the final proposal is approved and before production begins.

Once the remaining balance is paid and production begins, the final payment is generally non-refundable unless there is a confirmed quality issue or another issue covered by this policy.

If the customer does not complete the remaining balance payment, production will not begin.


5. Vehicle Fitment Issues

For Quarter Window Dioramas, the product is designed based on the vehicle model, year, selected side, and rear quarter window structure.

Customers must provide accurate vehicle information before ordering.

We may not be responsible for fitment issues caused by:

  • Incorrect vehicle brand, model, year, or trim information provided by the customer

  • Incorrect side selection

  • Customer failure to provide requested photos or measurements

  • Vehicle modifications that affect the quarter window area

  • Vehicles with quarter windows that are too small, absent, connected to the door, or otherwise unsuitable for installation

If we determine before production that your vehicle is not suitable for installation, we will contact you to discuss alternatives, changes, or cancellation options.


6. Dashboard Decor and Safe Placement

Car Dashboard Decor products must be placed safely inside the vehicle.

We do not accept returns or refunds for issues caused by unsafe placement, improper use, failure to secure the item, heat exposure beyond normal conditions, or customer-caused damage.

Customers must ensure that dashboard decor does not block driving visibility, airbags, controls, vents, screens, mirrors, or any safety-related area.


7. Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days after delivery.

Please provide:

  • Order number

  • Clear photos or videos of the issue

  • Photos of the packaging

  • A short description of the problem

After review, we may offer one of the following solutions:

  • Replacement part

  • Repair guidance

  • Partial refund

  • Replacement item

  • Return and refund, if necessary

Please do not return any item without contacting us first. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.


8. Return Shipping

If the return is caused by our confirmed mistake, such as a wrong item or confirmed product defect, we may cover or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.

If the return is approved for another reason, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs.

Original shipping charges, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and other delivery-related charges are generally non-refundable unless required by applicable law.


9. Refund Processing

Once a refund is approved, it will be processed back to the original payment method where possible.

Refund processing times may vary depending on your bank, credit card provider, payment processor, or Shopify Payments.

Please allow reasonable processing time after the refund has been issued.


10. Order Cancellation

For non-custom and non-made-to-order items, cancellation requests may be accepted if the order has not yet been processed or shipped.

For handmade, custom-fit, made-to-order, or custom design products, cancellation may not be accepted once production has started.

If you need to request a cancellation, please contact us as soon as possible.
